重庆智宏科技咨询翻译中心前身为重庆市退休工程师协会科技咨询服务部，系81818威尼斯（中国）股份有限公司直属科技经济实体,成立于1979年，注册资金30万元，技术实力雄厚，长期从事中外文口笔双向翻译业务和科技咨询服务。
智宏依托协会，广纳人才，拥有一支以译审、副译审为主体的、专业齐、语种全、功底扎实、优秀的老中青三结合的翻译队伍。这支队伍的骨干不少来自军工系统，其中有的高级人才既主持、参与过多个成套援建项目和成套引进项目的全部技术资料的翻译、审定，又多次陪同中央部级领导出国访问、国内接待外国贵宾，并曾长驻海外从事援外、国际贸易工作。这支队伍不仅擅长科技领域的翻译，而且也能熟练地进行其他领域的翻译。译员优秀的素质、雄厚的语言功底与广博的知识面相结合，为翻译质量提供了根本保证。多年来，在军工、汽车、摩托、钢铁、交通、环保、能源、园林、房地产、路桥、公安、司法等等各个领域的成功实践充分展现了智宏强劲的实力。智宏的翻译质量在国内处于领先水平，在国际上受到好评。

Founded in 1979 as the technical consulting service department of the former Chongqing Retired Engineers’ Association, Zhihong Technical Consultancy and Translation Center is affiliated to Chongqing Engineers’ Association (CEA) under which it operates on a registered fund of RMB300,000 as a technical and economic entity. Relying on its strong technical expertise, Zhihong has long been engaged in providing multilingual interpretation and translation service and technical consulting service for the society.
Benefiting from CEA ’s vast human resources, Zhihong boasts a team of senior, middle-aged and young translators who specialize in various fields and have an excellent command of foreign languages. Many of them hold senior academic or professional titles and constitute the mainstay of the team. This team includes quite a number of key experts from the defense industry, of whom the senior translators have either led or participated in the translation of full sets of technical documents (including proofreading of translated texts thereof) for all major projects of technology transfer to other countries and machinery import from abroad. They have also worked as interpreters for leaders of the central government or ministries during their visits abroad and for foreign guests visiting China. Some of them have been stationed abroad for months or even years to help implement engineering or trading projects overseas. Not only is this team skilled in translating technology-related literature but also capable of translating documents in other fields. All these translators’ excellent personal qualities and good command of both native and foreign languages combined with a broad scope of multi-field knowledge constitute the fundamental assurance for quality translation.
Over the years, Zhihong has fully displayed its outstanding capability by its practical success in providing consulting and translation services for its customers in such fields as defense industry, car and motorcycle manufacturing, iron- and steel-making, transportation, environment protection, energy generation, landscaping, housing, road and bridge construction, public security, justice and so on. Meanwhile, Zhihong has so far provided over 3,000 medium and small businesses with consulting services regarding technology and feasibility appraisal and helped handle for insurance companies over 1,000 cases of financial risk assessment, accident precaution and prevention and property claim evaluation.
